To create a safe, supportive, and judgment-free space where single parents can connect, share experiences, seek advice, and find the encouragement they need to thrive in their parenting journey.

Core Guidelines

Be Kind and Respectful
Treat all community members with kindness, empathy, and respect.
  • Use supportive and encouraging language
  • Respect different parenting styles and choices
  • Avoid judgment and criticism of other parents
  • Remember that everyone is doing their best
Maintain Privacy and Safety
Protect your privacy and the privacy of others in the community.
  • Don't share personal information like addresses or phone numbers
  • Use first names or usernames only
  • Don't post photos of children without permission
  • Report any suspicious or inappropriate behavior
Stay On Topic
Keep discussions relevant and helpful to single parents.
  • Post in the appropriate forum category
  • Keep discussions focused on single parenting topics
  • Avoid off-topic conversations in support threads
  • Use clear, descriptive titles for new topics
Foster Supportive Community
Help create a welcoming environment for all single parents.
  • Welcome new members warmly
  • Share resources and helpful information
  • Offer support and encouragement to others
  • Celebrate successes and milestones together
Prohibited Content
The following types of content are not allowed in our community and will result in immediate action.
Spam, promotional content, or advertising
Hate speech, discrimination, or harassment
Personal attacks or bullying
Sharing of personal information without consent
Content that violates laws or regulations
Misinformation about health, legal, or financial topics
Inappropriate sexual content or language
Political debates or controversial non-parenting topics

Enforcement & Consequences

First Warning

Friendly reminder about community guidelines

Private message from moderator with guidance

Second Warning

Formal warning for repeated violations

Temporary restriction on posting for 24-48 hours

Temporary Suspension

Serious or repeated violations

Account suspended for 1-7 days depending on severity

Permanent Ban

Severe violations or continued disregard for guidelines

Permanent removal from community with no appeal

Reporting Violations
Help us maintain a safe community by reporting inappropriate content or behavior.

How to Report

  • • Use the "Report" button on posts or comments
  • • Send a private message to moderators
  • • Email us at community@single-parent-resources.com
  • • Use the contact form with "Community Issue" category

What to Include

  • • Link to the specific post or comment
  • • Username of the person involved
  • • Description of the violation
  • • Screenshots if helpful (optional)

Response Time: We review all reports within 24 hours and take appropriate action. All reports are kept confidential.

Appeals Process
If you believe a moderation action was taken in error, you can appeal the decision.
